Details: 1989 Chrysler LeBaron Turbo for sale here. It has the 2.5L Turbo I engine and a 3-speed automatic transmission.I have owned the car since 2002. I am the third owner. The first owner was my Uncle who bought it new. Then, he sold it to my older brother in 1996. I then bought it in 2002.When my Uncle owned it, he had the engine rebuild by Chrysler, under warranty at just under 70K miles. When my brother owned it, he had the transmission rebuilt at approximately 100K miles. Then I bought it roughly 5K miles after that in 2002.I took it off the road in 2004 because my mechanic said it probably would not pass inspection the next year due to the rust damage. It is a uni-boy car and the frame was getting pretty rusted. So, with that said, what is really for sale is the engine and transmission because the body on the car is in bad shape. Otherwise, the engine and transmission is in excellent shape. My Uncle and brother took great care of it, and I took even better care. I always changed the oil at 3,000 miles and used Mobil 1 oil and K&N oil filter. It also has a K&N air filter.The car now has 128,461 miles on it. Back in 2009, my buddy and I dropped a battery in it and it started right up. Before I started it up, I changed the oil and filter because I didn´t want to hurt the engine. When we got it running, we found a leak in the fuel line and fixed it with a rubber line. We fixed the car up just for fun and drove it up and down the street to see if it would still operate. And it did. It drove great and the brakes were great. I haven´t tried to start it since.The reason I have been holding on to the car was in hopes of finding another LeBaron that had a good body, but needed a new engine and/or transmission. That hope never became true and the more time goes by, the more I realize the best thing is to probably just sell the car.In summary:THE GOOD:- Rebuilt engine- Rebuilt transmission- Interior is in great shapeTHE BAD:- One of the tires is a donut tire- The hood is a different color than the body- The passenger side window is brokenSo, there you have it. Details: Have a 1996 Chrysler Town and Country LXi for parts or repair. The bad: Has an electrical problem where the reverse lights won´t turn off. I have no idea whats wrong. Also the windshield is cracked (was told that a new one is roughly $200 installed). The passenger side rear wheel cyllinder is leaking (around $13 at Advance Auto Parts). It is out of inspection. Starts and runs good. The good: Van runs and drives. Exterior is still in decent shape with just some wear/scuff marks and dings. Engine was replaced recently and has around 80k miles on it; body of van has a little under 160k. Transmission was rebuilt at 112k. Also had the trans fluid and filter replaced very recently. The trans pan was dropped and inspected and was found to be very clean. Replaced windshield wiper motor so wipers work good. We put a lot of money into this van over the years, and when the elctrical problem developed after the engine was replaced we decided not to put anymore money into it, as we have another van and just used that. This would be a good fixer upper or just use for parts. These are luxury vans and they hold their value. Has a clean title. $1200 or make me a reasonable offer. You can fix this and resell for around $3,500 according to Kelley Blue Book values. According to them, in the condition it sits its worth $2,400. Good van to fix up and use.
