Styled by Chrysler, the TC is based on a Le Baron chassis that was sent to Maserati where it was shortened and the entire body shell assembled by hand.. After Maserati installed the drive train, the cars were shipped back to America. This 1989 TC has only 70,000 miles on it. It has a 4 cylinder, 2.2 L, turbo, 3-speed automatic transmission. It has an Italian leather interior, honeycomb wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, a lockable storage unit behind the seats that has the original umbrella and tool kit . The removable hardtop has circular beveled glass opera windows, also a stand and cover to use when the top is off the car. Details: This is a body off frame restoration project of a very rare Chrysler in its original Tahitian Coral color. One of 618 300D hardtops. Power steering, brakes, antenna, windows and seats. Pushbutton Torqueflite automatic transmission. Very rare first year cruise control. I have the build sheet from the Chrysler Historical Collection. All the major work is done. The body was removed from the frame and painted with single stage Deltron for the correct 50´s look. The frame was sandblasted and the brakes and suspension are completely rebuilt. Power window motors have been rebuilt. New emblems and seals. The dual quad WCFB carburetors are original and correct. Buy it now and finish it yourself or wait until it is nearer to completion. The price will be increased as costs to complete the car are incurred. The 392 cubic inch/380 HP dual quad Hemi engine and high performance pushbutton Torqueflite transmission have been professionally rebuilt and are now installed. The carburetors are being professionally restored. The rechromed tail light and rear license plate bezels have been installed and are beautiful. The bumpers have been replated and are now installed. The correct three row radiator has been recored and installed. The front brake cooling duct intake trim pieces have been rechromed and are now installed. The power antenna is being restored. Details: I have for sale a 1985 New Yorker Turbo in great overall condition. This vehicle has most recently gone through it´s mileage maintenance (oil change, rotation, inspection) and is running in top shape. It has 129k original miles and has recently gone through its 120k transmission and engine maintenance. I most recently drove this vehicle to Vancouver B.C. and back for the weekend with no mechanical issue or problem whatsoever. It has a red leather interior that is in excellent condition and has a full-electronic display and system (tells you commands such as, ´your fuel is low, headlights are on, key in the ignition, etc´), heat/ac still work perfectly. It has been very reliable for me and the turbo still works perfectly, but I must sell it very soon due to relocation and cant afford to bring it along with me! I have seen similar New Yorker´s in the same year range, but with much higher miles go for 2500-3000. There are only two flaws to this vehicle and that is the two passenger side windows. The front passenger´s window motor goes down, but not up and the rear-passenger window is missing an internal gasket. For those two reasons the car is priced accordingly to account for these reasons and because I am limited on time to sell it.
