Details: 1989 Chrysler LeBaron Turbo for sale here. It has the 2.5L Turbo I engine and a 3-speed automatic transmission.I have owned the car since 2002. I am the third owner. The first owner was my Uncle who bought it new. Then, he sold it to my older brother in 1996. I then bought it in 2002.When my Uncle owned it, he had the engine rebuild by Chrysler, under warranty at just under 70K miles. When my brother owned it, he had the transmission rebuilt at approximately 100K miles. Then I bought it roughly 5K miles after that in 2002.I took it off the road in 2004 because my mechanic said it probably would not pass inspection the next year due to the rust damage. It is a uni-boy car and the frame was getting pretty rusted. So, with that said, what is really for sale is the engine and transmission because the body on the car is in bad shape. Otherwise, the engine and transmission is in excellent shape. My Uncle and brother took great care of it, and I took even better care. I always changed the oil at 3,000 miles and used Mobil 1 oil and K&N oil filter. It also has a K&N air filter.The car now has 128,461 miles on it. Back in 2009, my buddy and I dropped a battery in it and it started right up. Before I started it up, I changed the oil and filter because I didn´t want to hurt the engine. When we got it running, we found a leak in the fuel line and fixed it with a rubber line. We fixed the car up just for fun and drove it up and down the street to see if it would still operate. And it did. It drove great and the brakes were great. I haven´t tried to start it since.The reason I have been holding on to the car was in hopes of finding another LeBaron that had a good body, but needed a new engine and/or transmission. That hope never became true and the more time goes by, the more I realize the best thing is to probably just sell the car.In summary:THE GOOD:- Rebuilt engine- Rebuilt transmission- Interior is in great shapeTHE BAD:- One of the tires is a donut tire- The hood is a different color than the body- The passenger side window is brokenSo, there you have it. Details: LeBaron for sale with only 110,000 miles on it. The interior is in great shape and the body for the most part is rust free. Needs some work but other than that it runs great. Replaced the radiator, starter, rack & pinion, power steering pump, and serpentine belt. Needs a new muffler because it is getting a little loud, power steering has a leak but only have to seal it, and possible allignment even though i already did that but the company did not do it right. Details: This car was owned by my grandparents for many years. Recently they have been unable to drive it, I have taken over responsibility of it. Now I am planning to move and have no use for it, and neither do my grandparents. I have driven the car faithfully for the last year , averaging 300-400miles a week. Despite one breakdown, the car has driven well even with the check engine light back on. I don´t have time to deal with figuring out whats wrong or attempting to fix it as i prepare to move. With only 80,000 miles this car has a lot of life left. The exterior is in excellent condition with only one spot of rust smaller than a penny. Since Dec 2010 I have had replaced the distributor (new) , replaced brake lines, front end bearings replaced , spark plugs and wires, valve cover gaskets, last inspected in Dec 2011, New rear struts, new ceramic brakes and rotors.....SOunds great right......Wiper fluid not responsive, check engine light is on , and abs light is on, slight skip in engine when lower then 89 gas is used.
