Details: This is my daily driver. So, here is the bad: Heat not hot, just warm at best. Mechanic said could be thermostat or plugged heater core. Burns/leaks oil from one spot, mechanic said probably valve guides. Only 2/6 speakers work as it needs a new amp. The 2 are quite adequate tho. Also has some faded and scratched paint, and some chips on back bumper. A/C needs recharge. A month ago the water pump went out. Had a new water pump, crossover pipe and timing belt put on costing $700. Also has a bad strut mount. It is a $5 part, but looks like it wouldn´t be fun to change. Is the car worth restoring? I would say yes. It has 0 rust. I mean 0%! Came from Florida. Also, only has 105,000 miles on it. Very nice looking and very comfortable car with good mpg. Fully loaded. Cruise, tilt, power l&w, alarm. 6 cd changer in trunk. Leather seats. Just had a cv joint and control arm put on, along with an input shaft seal. Put in a new autoshift instrument panel cluster. It also has new ceramic brake pads in front. Has new puralator fuel filter, new pcv valve, new radiator drain, new safety coolant fill cap, new coolant resevoir and lines, and a fairly new air filter. 3 months ago the engine was flushed and the intake system was cleaned out. The coolant system was flushed 3 times. Fuel injection system was cleaned too. 2 new Goodyear all season performance wipers. I will also include 2 Puralator PureOne oil filters for it, along with mag spark plug wires and iridium spark plugs. New oil pressure sensor. Just restored the headlights. Have most receipts for parts and all receipts for labor. Many parts have lifetime warranty. I would love to fix the car, but I am on minimum wage and cannot. Kelly Blue Book is $2926 in fair condition. I would say fair at best. So I am asking for less than 1/2 of the BB price and taking a huge loss because I was not informed of anything wrong with it. If you are mechanicly inclined, or have some money to put into it, buy it. If you are looking for a good car to buy and drive with no problems, do not. This will not be a good winter car until heat is at least fixed.
